How to Disco with your Dog

Course Summary

Mini Webinar: The Secret Sauce Your Reactive or Anxious Dog Is Missing Move from stuck → steady progress with simple, powerful DRI routines  Is your dog’s behaviour taking way too long to improve?
Are you seeing new issues pop up?
Feeling like you’ve hit a plateau and your toolbox is running thin?
You’re not alone — and you’re not doing anything “wrong.” Most dog guardians (and many trainers!) are missing one key ingredient…
Differential Reinforcement of Incompatible Behaviour (DRI)  Movement-based. Doable. And surprisingly powerful.

This mini-webinar shows you exactly how to use DRI routines in real time with anxious, fearful, and reactive dogs — without needing perfect handling, perfect equipment, or perfect circumstances.
Who This Mini-Webinar Is For
✓ Dog guardians feeling stuck or overwhelmed
✓ Trainers wanting another solid tool for their skillset
✓ Anyone working with anxious, fearful, or reactive dogs
✓ Folks struggling with loose leash walking or building calm focus
✓ People who want something practical they can start using today
What We’ll Cover
🔹 The DRI Routines That Actually Work  Forget theory overload — this is real-life, real movement, real change. You’ll learn how to reinforce behaviours that are incompatible with reacting, lunging, barking, or spiralling up.
🔹 Simple Movement Exercises You Can Use Immediately  These routines shift your dog from “I can’t cope” to “I can think again.” Use them on walks, in your home, around triggers, and during everyday life.
🔹 No French-braided perfection here  This isn’t a polished, choreographed case study. You’ll see imperfect handling from a real owner with equipment that isn’t always my first choice — because this is what real behaviour change looks like.
🔹 A New Way to Add Calmness + Control Without Force

This webinar is NOT about…
✖ Reading body language
✖ Deep dives into behaviour theory
✖ Showing only picture-perfect training Instead, it’s about movement that changes the emotional state, safely and predictably.

What You’ll Walk Away With
✔ A brand-new tool to use with anxious, fearful, or reactive dogs
✔ A movement routine you can pair with your existing training
✔ Better leash handling through predictable patterns
✔ A way to prevent escalation before it happens
✔ Renewed momentum when everything has felt stuck
✔ Confidence that you’re finally adding the right layer to your dog’s training

Why This Matters  When dogs are overwhelmed, they can’t think — and when they can’t think, training falls apart.
Movement-based DRI gives your dog a structured outlet that interrupts the spiral and brings them back into a state where learning is possible.
Think of it as the secret sauce that helps everything else finally click.

Meet Sylvia Koczerzuk

Sylvia is a Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT 2000- 2025)  and Certified Dog Behaviour Consultant (IAABC), a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer and Predation Substitute Training - Certified Instructor  who helps dogs and their guardians create calmer, more connected lives with ethical and  humane, science-based training.

Long before there were as many formal schools, certificates, and degree pathways available in dog behaviour, Sylvia was already committed to learning. Her early education came from following and learning from veterinary behaviourists, applied animal behaviourists, and other respected professionals whose work helped shape her understanding of dogs, behaviour, and humane training.

She attended the prestigious SF SPCA Dog Training Academy ( now knowns the Dog Training Academy) ,  studied at Behaviour Works with Dr. Susan Friedman in Living and Learning with Animals. Sylvia is also a Fear Free Certified Professional and has completed further education and certifications in scentwork enrichment, canine reactivity, separation anxiety, Dynamic Dog (gait and posture assessment), canine arthritis, and pain-informed learning. Most recently, she is completing her clinical canine behaviour degree (an internationally OFQUAL-qualified CBC).

Sylvia has been helping animals and their people since 1989. Over the years, she has worked in veterinary hospitals, shelters, rescues, a farm sanctuary, and private practice. Her work has included dog walking, grooming, group classes, private training, virtual coaching, and behaviour consulting. She also travelled south to assist Hurricane Katrina animal survivors.

What Sylvia loves most is helping people better understand their dogs and showing them how small, thoughtful changes can lead to meaningful progress. She knows that behaviour is not just about training. It is shaped by health, environment, learning history, emotions, and the unique dog in front of you.

That is why Sylvia takes a whole-dog, whole-picture approach. She combines assessment, understanding dog emotions, behaviour knowledge, and practical coaching to help guardians move forward in a way that feels clear, positive, and achievable.

If you are ready to better understand your dog, build confidence together, and create real-life results, Sylvia would love to help.
